UpShift helps STI-Europe rethink their website to be intuitive and responsive

Safety Technology International (STI), who invented fire alarm covers 30 years ago, is now a global leader in a wide array of safety and security products. STI-Europe asked UpShift to create a website that would better showcase their expansive product offering, reach consumers across all devices, and simplify management of their web site and database.

To achieve these objectives, UpShift started with a clean sheet of paper. First, we tackled their database, organizing thousands of individual products into related product series. Next, we tackled the UX and UI, creating a design that made it easy for consumers to drill down into product categories, while also communicating to users the expansive breadth of STI’s product offering. Last, we programmed until our fingers nearly fell off.

The new site incorporates responsive technology من العاب اكشن الانwhich restructures content to fit all device screen sizes. This helps STI by having to support only one site—not separate desktop sites, mobile sites and mobile apps. The new site also helps installers and tradesmen get easy access to product installation sheets and specs when they are In the field on their mobile and tablet devices.

Another unique HTML feature that we are proud of is a “Product Build-It Tool”. To simplify the ordering process of custom products, the web site now allows users to build the product they need step-by-step—getting an image and product number of what they built on the last step. This eliminates guesswork when ordering, prevents errors and reduces costly returns.
