Richard Shanks Named STA Fellow

At the Society of Typographic Art’s Honorary Member event on November 10th, our own Richard Shanks received the STA Fellow Award in recognition of his commitment to the STA and the greater Chicago design community.

Over the years, Rich has participated in STA as a volunteer, a student chapter leader at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a board member. Most recently, Rich has served as President of the STA for the past three years. Under his leadership, the STA saw the return of the STA 100 competition, a celebration of the 100 best examples of design and typography for the year. 2016 marked the first year the competition accepted international entries. Join us in congratulating Rich on this well-deserved recognition of his lasting commitment to the STA.
